Custom t-shirt production is not only the time spent printing. A complete order also includes quotation, artwork checks, stock confirmation, sampling, approval, production, quality control, packing and delivery.
Many straightforward local orders need about 7-14 working days after artwork and payment are confirmed. Complex garments, imported stock, custom sewing and peak seasons can take longer. Always ask the factory for a written schedule for your exact order.
A practical order timeline
Requirements and quotation
Prepare the quantity, size list, shirt type, artwork, print positions, delivery location and event date. Complete information helps a factory confirm capacity and price without repeated questions.
Artwork and sample approval
The factory checks file quality, print dimensions and colour. A digital proof may be enough for a repeat design. A new fabric, important colour or complex placement should have a physical sample.
Do not count sampling as wasted time. It is usually the cheapest point to catch a spelling, sizing or colour problem.
Production and quality control
After approval, garments are prepared, printed or embroidered, cured, checked and packed. The factory may run several stages on different days depending on equipment and workload.
Delivery buffer
Allow time for courier delays, remote destinations and checking the finished order. For an event, aim to receive shirts several days early rather than on the morning they are needed.
