Custom Jersey Printing Malaysia: Material, Design and Ordering Guide

Plan a custom sports jersey order with the right fabric, sublimation artwork, sizing, names, numbers and production timeline.

Custom jerseys need more planning than ordinary printed t-shirts. The fabric, cut, artwork, names and player numbers all affect how the final order is produced.

Most fully printed sports jerseys use sublimation. The design is transferred into polyester fibres with heat, so colour can cover the whole garment without creating a thick print layer.

Choose the jersey for the activity

Start with the sport and wearing conditions. Lightweight polyester with moisture management suits running, football and outdoor events. A slightly heavier knit can feel more structured for esports, clubs or casual teamwear.

Ask for the fabric weight, stretch direction and a physical sample. Marketing names such as “dry fit” are not a complete specification because different suppliers use them for different fabrics.

Build the design around the pattern

A jersey is made from several cut panels. Important artwork should sit safely inside each panel rather than crossing a seam, collar or sleeve join. Factories normally provide a template for the front, back, sleeves and collar.

Keep sponsor marks and small text large enough to survive printing and stitching. Confirm the colour profile and request a printed fabric sample when colour matching matters.

Manage names, numbers and sizes

Use a spreadsheet with one row per person and separate columns for name, number, size and sleeve option. Check spelling twice before sending the final file.

Do not assume that size M from one factory matches another. Request the finished garment measurements and compare chest width and length against a shirt your team already wears.

Sample before production

A complete size sample set is ideal for a team order. At minimum, approve one finished jersey before the main run. Review the fit, collar, seams, print alignment and colour under normal daylight.

Allow time for the factory to correct the sample. Production should begin only after the design, size list and sample are approved in writing.

Send a complete quotation request

Include quantity, sport, fabric preference, size breakdown, artwork, names and numbers, delivery location and required date. State whether you need individual packing.

For a faster comparison, request quotes from suitable Malaysian factories with the same specifications.
